O'FallonTheatreWorks
O'FallonTheatreWorks (formerly the O'Fallon Repertory Theatre) has been an active part of the community since 2001. Annual productions include a spring musical, and a fall drama or comedy.
Performances are held at O'Fallon Municipal Centre, 100 North Main Street. Shows begin at 8:00P, except on Sundays when they start at 2:00P. Prices range from $8 - $12. Children five and under are free. Ask about discounts for groups of 20 or more.
Spring 2010 musical: Nunsense!
O'FallonTheatreWorks presents Nunsense! this Spring at the auditorium in O’Fallon Municipal Centre. The play runs Friday through Sunday for two weekends: April 16 - 18, and 23 - 25. Curtain is 8:00 pm Fridays and Saturdays and 2:00 pm on Sundays. The box office will open one hour before.
Tickets go on sale March 15, and will be available at the Parks and Recreation Office (400 Civic Park Drive) and the Renaud Spirit Center (2650 Tri Sports Circle). Tickets are also available by phone using Visa or MasterCard. Please call 636-379-5606 or 636-474-2REC.
Nunsense is a hilarious spoof about the misadventures of five nuns trying to manage a fundraiser. Sadly, the rest of the sisterhood died after eating food prepared by Sister Julia. Thus, the remaining nuns – ballet-loving Sister Leo, street-wise Sister Robert Anne, befuddled Sister Mary Amnesia, the Mother Superior Sister Regina, and mistress of the novices Sister Mary Hubert – stage a talent show in order to raise the money to bury their dearly departed.
Directions to see the show:
On I-70 in O’Fallon, take Exit 217 at Highways K/M (Main Street). Turn north on Main Street and drive about one-half mile. After crossing the railroad tracks, make an immediate right into the O’Fallon Municipal Centre parking lot. Enter through the east-side lobby, outside the Police Department.
