Want to get into shape but need a little extra help? Try the Renaud Spirit Center’s 6,200 square-foot Fitness Center! With a variety of services offered, everyone can find a class that they love. The Center’s equipment includes 24 pieces with Broadcast Vision, selectorized weight equipment and a full circuit of free weights.
 


An elevated three-lane running and walking track overlooks the natatorium and gymnasium. Call Ty Joyce, Fitness Specialist, at (636) 474-8122 to schedule a visit, or stop by during normal business hours.

Types of Classes


Youth Fitness:
Learn the basics of fitness while having fun and trying a variety of different equipments and styles.

  • Fundamental Fitness Class - A power pack, high energy fitness class that incorporates body balls, obstacle courses, circuit training courses, games, exciting music and a big dash of fun. (ages 6-10)
  • Preschool Fun and Fitness - This program will teach youngsters how the body works, and other fitness related topics. (ages 3-6)

Sculpting: Classes that will help you sculpt your muscles and strengthen your core.

  • Arms and Abs vs. Butts and Gutts - A 30 minutes class that covers it all. Join us for Upper Body Toning on Mondays and Lower Body on Wednesdays. Each class will be different but always challenging. All levels are welcome.
  • Body Sculpt - Use your own body weight along with hand weights and resistance tubing to increase overall muscle tone, bone density, and overall strength.
  • Butts and Gutts Turbo - This class combines a great Turbo Kick style workout with some awesome core strengthening moves for a fun workout. All levels welcome.
  • Power Pump - A body toning and strengthening class that utilizes lightweights, bars, balls, and bands. Perfect for before or after a cardio workout. All levels welcome.
  • Step and Sculpt - Burn calories, increase your cardiovascular fitness, and tone your muscles with this energizing step class. Switch it up with intervals of weights, abdominal exercises, and relaxing cool downs.
  • Core and More - This 40 minute class will help you build strength and tone all of your core muscles including your abs, lower back, and glutes.
  • Body Fusion - This refreshing class combines elements of yoga, pilates and strength-conditioning for slow, controlled movements that enhance balance, posture, flexibility, coordination, core strength, and muscle tone.

Seniors: Specifically designed with seniors in mind!

  • Fit After 50: This class will help you increase cardio-respiratory endurance, strengthen and tone muscle, and improve balance in a functional way. This class takes place at Civic Hall.
  • S.W.A.T. (Senior Weight and Toning): Designed for those who want to get strong and learn how to properly use free weights, resistance tubing, the stability ball, and more.
  • Functional Flexibility for Seniors:  Perfect for all fitness levels, this program offers a great way for seniors to improve range-of-motion decrease pain and muscle soreness after exercise, improve posture, and decrease muscle tension.

Cardio: Fast paced, high-energy classes that will get your heart rate up and burning calories in no time.

  • Cardio Conditioning - This class will incorporate cardio boxing, dynamic cardio intervals, strength moves and more to give you a great workout and improve your overall fitness. Join us at 9:00 am for a 90-minute workout.
  • Cardio Mix - Looking for a cardio workout in a short amount of time? This class will give you 30 minutes of nothing but cardio with a different format each session so you will never get bored! Cardio combat, step interval, cardio box,… we’ve got it all!
  • Step into Fitness - This fun energetic sculpting class incorporates step aerobics, exercise balls, weight and resistance bands for a total fitness package. You’ll increase your cardiovascular strength, muscular endurance, core stability, balance and flexibility. This class takes place at Civic Hall.
  • Turbo Kick - Cardio with attitude! Join us for a sport specific warm-up, bouts of intense intervals, easy to follow combinations, kickboxing specific strength/endurance training and a Tai Chi like cool-down. All levels are welcome.
  • Zumba - A fusion of hypnotic Latin rhythms and easy to follow movements create a dynamic workout that will blow you away. Routines incorporate fun music, interval training, fast and slow rhythms and resistance training for classes that you will look forward to.
Specialty: These classes have been designed with a specific interest.
  • Dynamic Training - Small group training at an even smaller cost! Geared to get intense results guaranteed. Let our personal trainers take you through a series of exercises and challenges sure to get your heart pumping! Workout will be customized specifically to your fitness level and goals.
  • Group Cycle: Interval Ride - With this workout you will experience cycling through every type of terrain. Flat road for endurance, hills for strength and a bit of wind behind you for speed, and fast speed sprint intervals all help make a great workout.
  • Boot Camp - Looking to get into shape fast? Try a no-nonsense military inspired workout that will have you sweating in no time! Fitness tests are conducted on the first and last days of class to show your improvement.
  • Bridal Boot Camp - Whether you are a Bride-To-Be or just need a little push, you have to try this training class. You’ll sweat and have a great time doing it!
  • Cycle Boot Camp - Join the ultimate cross training class. A combination of hills, sprints, and endurance on the bikes with intense cardio and strength training intervals on the ground will be sure to burn calories!
Yoga: A complete body workout that focuses on a combination of stretches and breathing.
  • Runners Yoga - If you think running a marathon is easier than touching your toes or you would like to start running but want to make sure you don’t injure yourself, runner’s Yoga is the missing component to your training routine. This class does wonders for a runner’s flexibility.
  • Vinyasa Yoga - This challenging for of yoga focuses on the synchronization of breathing with the continuous flow of movements. This is a great whole body workout.
